How to Stick to Your New Years Resolutions

Every Year Everybody makes a New Years Resolution with every intention of Sticking to it. The Reality of those resolutions is that only about 8% of us actually follow through and fulfill the Promise we made to ourselves for the New Year.

Here are a few simple tips you can use everyday to help you accomplish your New Years Resolution.

  1. 1. Write Your New Years Resolution Down.

  2. There is power in writing down your Goal. It makes your Resolution Tangible and gives you a point of reference when you lose focus on your end Result.

  3. 2. Find Uplifting Images Related to your New Years Resolution and Surround Yourself with them.  

  4. Display pictures of your Resolution already being accomplished in the Environment you find yourself in. For example post these Encouraging images on your Computer Desktop, on your Refrigerator at home or on your bathroom or dresser mirror.

  5. 3. Develop and write down a positive affirmation you can use to Keep your New Years resolution at the front of your mind.

  1. For example: I am so Grateful for the 15 pounds I have already released and for the next 5 pounds I am about to release.

  1. 3. Infuse Emotion into all of the Affirmations You Use.

  2. Identifying and combining your desired emotion with your positive affirmations as you recite them will allow you to feel the sensation your body will have once you have accomplished your goal.

By viewing your New Years Resolution as a welcome change as opposed to a chore that you have created for yourself it will greatly increase the odds of you actually reaching and achieving your goal for the New Year.
